A screenplay is like a block of granite; the screenwriter puts out the first draft and then chips away at the edges until they form a beautiful sculpture that depicts an aspect of the human experience… preferably in less than a hundred pages. This read and critique group will explore the art of screenwriting by sharing screenplays, television pilots, and shorts. We will discuss structure, story, and all matters of screenwriting. Our goal is supportive accountability; we will ask writers to share their work at least once a month while also offering positive feedback and helpful observations to their fellow writers. We hope to grow together by learning from each other and building community one unique story at a time.
