Tim West

Tim was a 2016-2017 Creative Catalyst Fellow with the San Diego Foundation under SDWI sponsorship. His adaptations include a commissioned stage play by Nobel laureate Dario Fo, a commissioned play about YTK and a week in state archives researching the world premiere production of his commissioned play about the 1943 Hartford Circus Fire, The Universal Monster Show. Mr. West has also written produced short works on writers as diverse as Christopher Marlowe, John Aubrey and Raymond Chandler. He graduated with a degree in History at SDSU, where his senior was on the adaptation of a silent film for sound. Prior to the pandemic, Mr. West served as Director of Community Engagement at Cygnet Theatre, where his duties gladly including presenting research to actors useful in making stage art, and writing program notes. He is at work on a novel about time travel.
