David Patrick Raines

David hails from a small town in the foothills of Northern California. Since studying art at San Diego State University, he has been writing, directing and acting. He has been nominated two consecutive years for Best Writing by the 48 Hour Film Project for Mug (2nd runner-up for Best Film, 2016), as well as That’s Final (winner for Best Film, 2017), which will be competing at Filmapalooza in Paris this March. His directorial debut, Never to Heaven, a dark thriller short film he adapted from Hamlet, recently screened at the Shakespeare Shorts: Crossing Borders Film Festival in England. David also performs in Los Angeles and San Diego on stage, screen, and as a voice actor. Favorite credits include Elmore Crome in the Backyard Renaissance production of Abundance, and Bert Power in the Lamplighters production of Send Me No Flowers. He also has a supporting role in the upcoming feature film, Over Served.
