Maxamina earned an MFA in Fiction at UC Riverside. She has worked as a nonfiction and fiction editor, is currently a reader for a literary journal and has a forthcoming column focused on women authors. Her curiosity and disregard for a solid career path have lead her to work as a children’s television writer, an advertising copywriter, a publicist and freelance magazine writer. She currently writes satirical fiction and recently had a piece published in the Voice de la Luna literary journal.
