Beth McNellen

Beth grew up in the small town of Twinsburg, Ohio during the 1950’s when life was perfect. In Mrs. Frankenhauser’s 7th Grade English class, she experienced the rapture of having her writing read aloud to the class and praised. For the next 50 years, she chased that feeling by writing, writing, and writing more.

In 2006, she won “The San Diego Book Award for Best Unpublished Memoir,” for her story, Maybe Goodnight. That, and a few hobby-memoirs for others,  became her credential for hanging up her shingle as The Sound of Your Voice Memoir in 2012.

In her book Create a Sound of Your Voice Memoir: 10 Simple Steps, Beth tells of her business success and the people whose shared lives changed her own. Memoir educates, inspires, touches, offers you options for living, and nails history into place. Who knew you could learn the history of China from the Qing Dynasty on, simply by listen to a story?
