Lisa has published multiple short stories in print anthologies and magazines. Her vampire short story, Immortal Beloved, was a finalist for a Bram Stoker award and has been reprinted in the Dead Souls Anthology by Morrigan Books. After meeting Ray Bradbury she took up his challenge to write 52 Short Stories in 52 Weeks and one of the stories grew into her novel, Moonlight, became a finalist in the Kensington/RT Writing with the Stars contest. Her debut novel, Night Walker, won a San Diego Book Award for Best Fantasy-SciFi-Horror and the Hearts Through History for Best Paranormal and Best First Book.
