‘21 Tin House Scholar and author of the debut short story collection, PRETEND IT’S MY BODY (Feminist Press 2022), Luke has taught creative writing to adults and youth for organizations that include UC San Diego, San Francisco State University, PEN America, the National Writers Series, University of Lethbridge, and San Diego Writers Ink. Their nonfiction has been featured in Refinery29, Catapult, and the Gottman Relationship Institute blog. Their fiction in Colorado Review, Fourteen Hills, and Crab Orchard Review, where it received such honors as the Nelligan Prize for Short Fiction, the Jack Dyer Fiction Award, and a mention in Best American Short Stories. Luke holds an MFA in Creative Writing from SFSU where they graduated with a Distinguished Achievement Award.
