Charlene is the author of Play the Game (HarperCollins/Katherine Tegan Books, 2023), and the upcoming My Fairy God Somebody (HarperCollins/Katherine Tegan Books, 2024). She received her MFA from The New School and her JD from Northeastern University. In addition to writing, Charlene works with community organizations to heal trauma and fight injustice, especially the beast called mass incarceration.
