I’m Lily:
Get to Know Me
Hi, I’m Lily Damron, a new intern at San Diego Writers, Ink. I’m a senior at Point Loma Nazarene University, set to graduate in the spring of 2024 with degrees in Writing and Physics. I love trying new things and exploring new ideas, which influences my writing! At the moment, my main writing interest is short fiction, but I’ve also been on staff at the Point Weekly student newspaper and dabbled with poetry and creative nonfiction. This summer I was a research assistant at Point Loma, setting up a lab to study superconductors.
A little more about me: I’m originally from Kansas but came to Point Loma for college to try living in a new place. My childhood stomping grounds had a lot more fields and woods than San Diego! My hobbies include music (I play the cello and piano), baking, hiking, climbing trees, and a bit of photography and painting. Recently, I’ve been exploring some classic science-fiction like Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series, and my current favorite book is Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir (check back with me in a few months, I’m sure it’ll change).
