Free Summer Writing Contests

Whether you are spending your summer break on vacation or at home, the summer season is a fantastic time to perfect your writing craft. Additionally, if you are hoping to get recognized for your creative work this summer, there are plenty of upcoming writing contests that you should submit to. 1. Goi Peace Foundation International Essay Contest for Young People

What comes to mind when you hear the word “peace”? Have you ever envisioned what a conflict-free world would look like? Better yet, do you wish to collaborate with other young people to create a world with less conflict and more peace? If you are between the ages of 15 to 25 and you have a passion for peace-making, then this contest is perfect for you!

2. L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future Contest

Are you a new and ambitious writer who primarily writes science fiction and fantasy? Do you have a draft of a novel lying around with up to 17,000 words? Well, look no further; this contest is the one for you! Also, this contest is open only to writers who have not been professionally published for a novel, more than one novelette, or more than three short stories.

3. The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award 2023 

Are you a young writer who enjoys writing poetry? Are you a young writer who doesn’t primarily write poetry but is interested in trying it? Also, if you are between the ages of 11 to 17, then entry to the contest is free.
