Hello! My name is Yao, and I am a new intern at San Diego Writers, Ink. I am a rising senior at Torrey Pines High School. In college, I plan to major in either communications or marketing.

Since May 2022, I have published 148 creative writing works on my blog. My poetry and short story works have also been featured by the publications Teen Ink, Hot Dish Magazine, Teen Author’s Boot Camp, The Globalist, and SpillWords, and more of my work will be published soon.

I am a big fan of reading good books, writing, eating delicious food, and traveling. My favorite books are The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and The Song of Achilles. My favorite genre to write is poetry. There are so many delicious foods, but I love sushi. Finally, my favorite place to travel to is China because all of my relatives and extended family live there.
