Playlists to Fuel Your NaNoWriMo Flow
Note: NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, and the general goal is for participants to write 50,000 words or more in the span of the 30 days of November.
If mood reading is a thing, then I think mood writing is too. I’m a sucker for a spooky tale to excite the days leading up to Halloween, a cozy holiday romantic comedy near Christmas, and something beachy and fun for the summer months. If most of us like to match the theme of our reading material to the time of year, then this certainly must translate to our moods when we’re trying to write. During NaNoWriMo, trying to write is the struggle and reward all wrapped up into one pretty package. So, let’s equip you with some “mood writing” playlists designed to shut out the real world for a bit and get you into the kind of mindset you need to succeed in writing key scenes, characters, dialogue, and conflicts. All of these playlists can be found on Spotify – sorry to all my Apple Music users. Each playlist is pictured with its title and description, and the creator of the playlist is written under the description. Most are ones I’ve made myself, but I’ve thrown a few in there from other creators I admire (I’m meg-hanmusic :).
